In several locations on this project, we had to leave off a panel of sheathing so the inspector could see the hold-down. We sometimes have to wait for this inspection before the next stage of framing, or we lose access to the hold-down. WebbDuring the course of removal of the existing exterior finishes, it was noted that many seismic hold-downs were not installed in critical areas as highlighted in red in figure 2.
